For those who just bought new Samsung Galaxy S4 or maybe who just moved from iPhone to Android, you will notice that the text messages you receive are being forwarded to exchange email account. For some people could be an interesting feature because we have a copy of the SMS in email inbox, and we are also able to access the text messages that we received without having to use the phone.
Although it can be a useful feature, but not everyone liked it since it will be spamming your email inbox, and also what’s the point to have copies of personal text messages in the office exchange email accounts. SMS forwarding on Samsung Galaxy S4 is working out of the box after an exchange mail account setup is done, so you are not aware if this feature has been activated.
If you no longer desire to receive copies of text messages in email inbox, then you should disable this feature. Actually this is a Sync SMS feature, so we need to disable Sync SMS option, to make sure you stop receiving text messages in the office email.
- Open phone’s Settings then select Accounts.
- You will see your exchange email accounts there, tap Exchange ActiveSync account, and then select Settings.
- Scroll down the screen until you find “More options”.
- After that you will see “SMS Sync” option, now uncheck it.
Now we can try to send a text message to our Galaxy S4, after the SMS is received now see your exchange email inbox, you won’t find any text messages now.
