You need to unlock your bootloader via HTCDev.com before flashing recovery,
If you done already, Boot into Hboot and see if it says UNLOCKED or if it still says LOCKED.

    Likely your device still locked.

When I try to unlock my Verizon DNA, I get:

    Error Code: 160.
    Error Reason: MID Not Allowed

I notice that the DNA is not in the list of Devices, so I used the \All other supported devices\ option. How did this work for you, if I can’t unlock mine? I did everything it said to – copied the token carefully and all that. The only difference is that I already had the android SDK installed. I kinda doubt the exact version matters, given its just using fastboot to grab a token. I would doubt that the token would change based on the SDK version…

Yes, I choose “All other supported devices”, that’s work few days after release date. Likely, now HTC revoke unlock capabilities for DROID DNA.
