Sony Xperia Z could run on AT&T / T-Mobile 4G LTE Network ?

Sony Xperia Z is one of the most anticipated Android Smartphone in 2013, this phone has been available in Japan a few days ago, and will also be available in most countries in Europe and Asia soon. Unfortunately, until now there is no official word which U.S. carriers (AT&T / T-Mobile / Verizon / Sprint) will pick this smartphone. However, if there are no U.S. carriers that will pick up the Xperia Z, we can still buy the unlocked version, of course with the full price without a carrier contract.

Based on Sony’s white papers, Xperia Z will be released with various model numbers that according to mobile phone networks, for example the C6602 which only supports HSPA+ network, the C6603 which is the International models with LTE support, the C6606 that might be compatible with the U.S. 4G LTE network.

So for those who thinking about buying this device, you should buy an Xperia Z with model number C6606, in order to use AT&T / T-Mobile SIM card and get a 4G LTE signal. In case you buy the International version (C6603), you will only have 3G or HSPA+ signal. So when you don’t wish to buy the unlocked phone with a full price, you can wait until the Xperia ZL released in the U.S., since it rumored to be available along with AT&T with 4G LTE support.

I’m confused. Do you mean C6603 does not support 4G LTE? (I’m from outside the US)

Is LTE different from 4G LTE? (because you used on your 2nd paragraph “the C6603 which is the International models with LTE support”, then on the 3rd you said “you will only have 3G or HSPA+ signal”)

      C6603 doesn’t support US 4G LTE.
If you are from outside US, might be you will get LTE signal with C6603.
