Official Jelly Bean update for Sprint LG Optimus G rolling out now

After being disappointed with the previous minor update that does not bring any significant change, but now official Jelly Bean OTA Update for Sprint LG Optimus G (LS970) already available. This update come with Android 4.1.2, Build number JZO54K and Software version LS970ZVB. Since the OTA updates are released in stages, so maybe this time you will not find any software update notification on your phone, but count on me you’re going to get the OTA notification that within a few hours or days.

This official Sprint update impatiently awaited by almost all LG Optimus G users, since they wish to feel the Jelly Bean OS running on their smartphones. As we know, the international version of LGOG got JB update last months, but not yet for the Sprint (LS970) and AT&T (E970) variant, maybe they want to customize the JB firmware with their networks or putting some pre-installed apps before mass releases.

For those who already have root access and unlocked bootloader, when you accept the official OTA update is likely you will lose root privileges. If you wish to keep on Jelly Bean firmware and rooted, you are better to wait for the developers to build stock JB ROM rooted flashable (zip) via recovery, I’m sure we would not have difficulty finding it.
