Easy One click root script to root LG G3, G Flex 2, G2 running Lollipop and KitKat

Earlier, we posted a guide about new 2015 LG root toolkit that can provide superuser privileges to some LG Android smartphones running Lollipop or Kitkat, the guide based on Unjustified_Dev’s thread on xda. Although the procedure is not too difficult, but for some folks it could be a difficult procedure, maybe because there’s too many technical commands and steps that need to be done.

If you have difficulty applying these methods, there is good news for you. A senior member of xda – avicohh, have managed to simplify the long method and turn it into one-click script. Previously, we had to accomplish 10 steps, but with this one-click script we only need to execute two steps only and without typing adb command manually.

This one-click script has been tested and reportedly working on several LG smartphones including LG G3 (all variants), LG Tribute and LG F60. However, if your phone is not listed, most likely it’s still supported. Here are the prerequisites and the overview on how to get it done:

Requirements

  • A computer with Windows OS.
  • The latest version of LG USB Drivers for Windows.
  • Enable USB debugging on the phone.
  • Connect the phone to the PC via micro USB cable, and use MTP or PTP connection.
  • Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package x86/32bit or x64/64bit, in some case you need 32bit package although your computer is 64bit.
  • Get the one-click root utility from sourceforge.net or directly head to avicohh’s thread here, available in two format, batch script and GUI.
