The S6 edge plus released worldwide with a variety of models, the hardware is not too difference, the distinction is the firmware. In the US, it released along with several major wireless carriers: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular. All variants have its own model number along with different stock firmware

Generally a stock firmware consists of original software, including Android OS, bootloader, recovery, radio, kernel, etc. All apps interact with each other to the make the phone working. On your Galaxy S6 edge+ and most android devices, some of these software are kept in the system partition.

We need a special tool like Odin flash tool to alter these files. In case some important parts of the firmware have been corrupted, then your device will refuse to work, and repairable only with a Galaxy S6 edge plus stock firmware.
