The LG G Watch is one of the three Android Wear powered smartwatch which released to the market, this LG smartwatch has similar hardware specs with Samsung Gear Live and other devices. It sports a 1.2 GHz CPU, 4 GB of internal storage and 512 RAM, which makes it more than enough to be able to help you get the information easily and get things done instantly via Google Now voice command. But this device also has a weakness, with only 400 mAh you have to charge LG G Watch every single day this.
Until now, the major problem in Android Wear is battery life, so this issue is not just experienced by the LG G Watch, but also the Samsung Gear Live, with normal use it can not last more than one day on a single charge. Additionally, you may feel a lag when swiping between screens and short vibration which could make you pass up incoming notification.
The best solution is to wait for the new official software update released by LG. However. But, for those who are impatient and enjoy a challenge, a new custom ROM has been released for the LG G Watch. Thanks to jakeday, a developer from RootzWiki who set aside his free time to build the world first custom ROM for the G Watch, he called it as Gohma ROM.
Here are several improvements that can be expected after you install this ROM:
- Better battery life.
- Diminished lag between screens.
- Overall performance enhancements.
- Increased vibration intensity.
- Some other surprises!
