Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 touchscreen and S Pen issues, not working after screen locked

Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8013/GT-N8000) has been officially released by Samsung in August 2012 with two versions Wi-Fi and 3G, these android tablet is equipped with a 1.4 GHz Quad Core Exynos processor and 2 GB of RAM and is suitable to go along with Galaxy Note smartphone. After purchasing and exploring this tablet you might find that there is a issue with the touchscreen, this takes place when attempt to ‘wake’ after locked with screen off, after pressing the power button the touchscreen becomes unresponsive, even if you swipes or taps it. So the only way to overcome that is by pressing and holding the power button to restart the unit.

 

Besides the above issues, one other issue experienced by Galaxy Note 10.1 users related to the touchscreen and S Pen which isn’t working as usual. This issue is identified after a firmware update a few days ago with the build number IMM76D.N8013UEALH2, when S Pen taken from the holder the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. To make it normal again you have to reboot your device by holding the power button.

If you experience these issues you can consider performing factory reset but all of your data and apps will be deleted, if it can’t get back to normal, you might need to replace the tablet to retailer since there’s a chances you receive a defective units.

    Same issue here! Samsung’s response is for me to go without for up to 7 days! Told them that was unacceptable. Figured I’d go to the source since the tablet is only 19 days old!!! So I’m going to return and reorder, but if I end up with the same issue I’m not sure what I’ll get to replace as I totally love a working Galaxy Note 10.1……

    Same here. I tried resetting everything, but without luck.
    Will try to flash the original ROM from Samsung site, tomorrow.

    I had this issue with my Note 10.1 and solved it by changing the Rom. Try and flash a different stock rom.
