After waiting for a long time, now Xposed Framework compatible with LG G4, of course, for some variants only. Previously, some G4 owner bit disappointed since they cannot make use of Xposed and its modules even though they already have root and custom recovery, force it will only make the device messed up. But everything changed after a dev from xda – romracer, unveiled its derivative Xposed to v71 few days ago, he also released a arm64 version that is compatible with G4 processor.
For now only T-Mobile LG G4 (H811) and the unlocked model (H815) that could take advantage of Xposed, since we had to flash the Xposed package via custom recovery like TWRP. As you know, both variants have an unlockable bootloader, so we can easily install anything. So for those who do not have a custom recovery, you still have the opportunity to use Xposed someday.
You can try some of the modules that available in the repository, as we had anticipated, not all modules will be compatible with G4, but some users have tried several well-known modules like Greenify and GravityBox [LP], however small portion of Gravity Box functionality might not be able to work properly, but we think it was not a major problem.
If you think the G3 TweaksBox gonna work, you might disappoint, since the module will not work on LG G4, as there’s many significant changes in the new LG UI. You have to wait until the dev – P_Toti released the G4 TweaksBox for you.
For those who are interested in using the Xposed Framework on LG G4 (T-Mobile/H811 and Unlocked/H815) but do not know how, here’s the overview:
