As a new LG flagship phone, the LG V10 was built with the greatest hardware and software, so that it can compete with its competitors. It’s a sport a 1.4 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 808 CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Not just that, to help you save even more contents, LG provides storage expansion via microSD card up to 128 GB. Although it still run the latest Lollipop (Android 5.1.1) but it’s still has excellent performance, but there are a few pre-installed apps that also known as bloatware apps on LG V10, the apps even more when you get a carrier-branded device like AT&T (H900) or Verizon (VS990).
The LG V10 is also loaded with LG-owned apps to support the phone features, while the pre-installed carrier-owned apps are mostly to manage carrier related services, and most of it can’t be uninstalled. These bloatware apps are installed on internal memory, and fill up the phone’s storage, and you will see lots of unwanted apps listed on the app drawer.
Some of bloatware apps on the LG V10 even have a background process, which means the app will keep running in the background even after it closed. A background app, if in large amounts, could impact the overall device performance, since it will use the phone’s resource (CPU and RAM). Excessive use of resources could effect on the V10 battery life.
To prevent an app running in the background, you can disable it or if you dare to risk, you can completely remove it. However, to get rid of it you must have superuser privileges or root access, and obtain it is not easy job. You can do it manually (disable app) via the App settings or with the help of a tool called Debloater.
